Garden Bloggers Bloom Day was yesterday and it is getting to be a really fun time of year for the bloom days. Unfortunately up here in zone 5, the things we have blooming are but a distant memory for those south of here. Still, I love that for the next four to five months the bloom days are just going to get better and better.
So here’s a quick look at what I’m thrilled to see in my garden, all way ahead of schedule (and if you don’t believe me, check out this post from Garden Rant).

@Jo – Since your spring comes late I bet you get to enjoy a longer growing season late into fall like we do. Thank goodness!
@Sylvana – Unfortunately I got it from my mom who says she's had it "forever" so all I know about it is that it's likely one of the older varieties rather than one of the newer cultivars.
I really love that pulmonaria. Do you know what variety it is?
Such beautiful blooms! I'm about in the same boat as you are being in Zone 5. I'm in zone 7a on the Jersey Coast and zone 6 up in the Jersey mountains and things come about much more slowly in these zones. But good things come to those who wait :~)
Even though I know I'd be able to enjoy it more in the house, I'm not sure I'd be able to cut it. I'm so stingy with my garden flowers!
LOVE LOVE LOVE!!! that hellebores!!! its fantastic and they make gorgeous cut flowers as well, they last forever.
Beautiful! And just think it's just starting! Not much up here yet. I think we are zone 3 or 4….still a bit yet until we catch up with you!
